How it works

Title Case follows the common style rule: capitalise every word except short articles, conjunctions and prepositions ("a", "and", "of", "to"), but always capitalise the first and last word. Sentence case capitalises the first letter after each full stop and the word "I".

Questions

Which words stay lowercase in Title Case?

a, an, and, as, at, but, by, for, in, nor, of, on, or, per, so, the, to, up, via, yet. Style guides differ on words of four letters such as "with"; this tool capitalises them.
