How to use it
- Paste your text.
- Press Check text.
- Click a fix under the text to apply it, or Ignore to leave the sentence as it is.
How it works
Grammar rules come from LanguageTool, an open-source grammar engine with thousands of English rules for agreement, tense, articles, punctuation, commonly confused words and word order. Spelling uses the Hunspell American English dictionary in your browser.
Questions
Does it catch "their, there, they're" mistakes?
Yes. Confused-word pairs such as their/there, your/you're, its/it's and affect/effect are part of the rule set, and the fix is one click.
Is there a word limit?
Each check covers up to 20,000 characters, about 3,500 words. For longer text, check it in parts.
Can I use it for school or work?
Yes, for any use. Your text is only stored when you sign in and save it, so it is safe for drafts you have not published.
